Be A Santa is a gift-giving scheme in which you can positively impact the lives of older people in our community. We are working in partnership with Age Connects again this year to collect donated gifts to be given out to many of our local elderly residents who will be mostly alone at Christmas.

The Care Collective are currently able to offer a Respite Grant to unpaid carers within Cardiff & Vale of Glamorgan. The respite grant will make all the difference to carers who are in real need of a rest or a break from their caring role.
The grant may cover a variety of respite options, from spa breaks to gym membership and more.

A 3-year partnership project between Amgueddfa Cymru and Alzheimer’s Society Cymru, to look at how we can best use our museum sites and resources to benefit the health and well being of those affected by dementia.

Dementia Friendly Cowbridge held an open day in Cowbridge Town Hall on Tuesday 21st June. There were representatives of many organisations of interest to those touched by dementia. They were able to answer questions and give out information on the many aspects of dementia development and the care of those affected. A splendid café was operated by Bluebird Care.
