Dementia Friendly Vale is a network of individuals, groups and organisations raising awareness and increasing the support of people living with dementia and their carers in and through their local communities across the Vale of Glamorgan.

 

This work includes running groups, activities and events in partnership with local organisations, making information available about local and national support for dementia and working with local businesses so people affected by dementia can be confident their needs will be understood and supported when they visit.

 

Communities are becoming Dementia Friendly as a result, enabling people affected by dementia to maintain their independence, interests and skills by remaining connected to their local community without fear or stigma at the time it’s needed most.
